Dickens Place Dickens Place
Welcome

Welcome to Dickens Place!

We are a quiet residential community of 700 single family homes located within the city of Southaven in Desoto County Mississippi, just minutes south of Memphis Tennessee. This unique location offers residents peaceful, family oriented living just outside of the metropolitan offerings of a bustling city.

Dickens Place is located in the Desoto County School District, which consistently ranks as one of the best districts in Mississippi. From exceptional early learning to high school and beyond, Desoto County provides an opportunity for a lifetime of learning and is one of many reasons people choose to live here.

Dickens Place is the perfect setting for raising your family or settling into retirement. We are close enough to enjoy the happenings in Memphis, while still providing the safety and security of small town life.

Posted on Mar 21, 2012
The first few months of the year have been quite busy for the Dickens Place HOA board.  From the annual meeting, trying to get a quorum, contracts reviews, and adding two new members to the board, we are looking forward to moving focus away from administrative tasks and on to projects and improvements in Dickens Place this spring and summer.

Board of Director Resignation
Posted on Sep 16, 2011
 September   13. 2011

I will be relocating and will no longer own property in Dickens Place.  Justin Sutton has been formally elected to fill my remaining term on the board (until 2013) and will also serve as Vice President and ARC Chair for this current board year. Justin has been serving as an ARC committee member this past year and as a builder has certainly been a great asset. It has been a pleasure to work on the Board this past 2 years.  I think we have accomplished a great deal and I know that the current Board and Committee members will continue to do wonderful things for the community. I want to thank you all for giving me the opportunity to serve.

Sincerely,

Sharon Gabreski

Mailboxes, Posts, Welding and Ironwork
Posted on Aug 3, 2011
We have gotten several calls about where to get the iron posts and mailboxes that we use in the subdivision. Grandesigns Ornamental Iron@ 2910 Mahan just off Getwell across from SBEC is our vendor of choice. They have the lowest prices on the complete mailbox and post installed with or without the address bar. The shop number is 536-3537 or Bobby can be reached on his cell at 901-262-6235.  If you just have damage to your box or post from passing cars , he can usuallly repair it without having to replace the post.
